Welcome to the Road Journal feature of FlipOnline. Scott is all about the music and the fans who have always supported his ventures, so this is yet another way to try to do something special for the fans. It is here that we will feature random updates and stories from the road and behind the scenes...all written by Scott, himself, every couple of weeks (or months, depending how busy "Sir Slackerness" is!!)

* Journal #6 ~ 5/29/08 *

Greetings from Belgium! We landed here about 9 hours ago. After only sleeping 2 hours on the plane, and drinking all the coffee in the hotel, I'm still friggin' exhausted. It's a 6 hour time difference over here and my body has no concept of what time zone it's in right now. I did take great comfort in seeing a wrecked cargo jet at the end of the runway in 3 pieces when we landed! Gotta love air travel . . .

Well, we leave tonight for Pink Pop in Holland. It's about an 80 mile drive from here. I'm really excited to see Incubus and Metallica tomorrow! We play right before Metallica and got the invite to watch them from the side of the stage, which is normally closed off. Pretty frickin' cool! There are many great festivals we're hitting this time around, with some really cool bands. I think we play 3 shows with Metallica, 2 or so with Incubus, and about 3 with our buddies from Disturbed. It's been a while since I've seen them so I'm excited to catch up. Another band I'm jacked about seeing is Queensryche. We play right before them at the Rocksound festival in Switzerland. I've been a big fan since high school and got to finally meet the guys in '05 at the VH1 golf tournament. Cool guys and can't wait to see them in action! Oh yeah . . . then there is Judas Priest at the Nova Rock Festival in Austria! Huge!

Anyways, miss you guys and hope to see you all in July. I'll try to send an update sometime during this trip, but you know how I am!

All the best to my peeps and talk to you soon!

Off to find more coffee . . .
