7/6/08: Just put the finishing touches on updating the most recent tour dates. Get out there to support Alter Bridge on the summer festival circuit and also for the shows they are providing opening support for some GREAT bands. Speaking of which---AB will be heading to Australia & New Zealand for the first time EVER in September with Disturbed. Those fans have been waiting a LONG time...so congrats to those fans! I'm sure AB will bring the house down!

6/14/08: US Tour dates are trickling in for July and August! Check out the schedule to see when Flip & the boys are coming to a town near you!

3/4/08: Many thanks to the crew of Rockline who let us know that the Alter Bridge Rockline will be an ALL NEW one on 3/17/08!! Get your questions ready and tune into Rockline on St. Patty's Day!!

2/29/08: Happy Leap Day! AB is going to be featured on Rockline again!! Tune in on 3/17/08 to hear our favorite little leprechauns rock the house!!

8/18/07: Hey Floridians and "show-birds" ~ !! The news was released today that Alter Bridge will perform a special "WJRR low-dough" show on 9/14/07 at the Social in Orlando before they head across the pnd to a label show in London. Tickets for the Orlando show are only $10.11...and I'm SURE they're gonna sell out fast! On sale this weekend, so don't wait!

7/17/07: Hey Flippers! Now hear this! Errr...well almost!! Thanks to Jay for keepin' us posted and giving us the heads up on this one, but it looks like the new AB album entitled, "Blackbird", will be released on October 9th ...and I'm sure it'll just FLYYYY off the shelves *bahdumbum* hehe. Cmon. It was corny, but still amusing, dammit! oOooOh, BTW, that hella-long-ass guitar-laden tune that everyone has been jonezin' for is called "Blackbird," as well. Don't forget--the first tune off the cd, "Rise Today" will be hitting the airwaves at the end of THIS MONTH!! Start requestin' the tune from your local radio stations!

7/15/07: FLIPONLINE OUTAGE NOTICE! Just wanted to give the loyal FOL-ers a heads up that we will experience some downtime in 2 weeks when the FlipOnline server moves to a new location. The outage will happen sometime between 8pm on Friday, 7/29/07 and 4am on Saturday, 7/28. It is expected to keep us offline for up to 15 hours, but the server folks have advised us that all sites should be back up & running by 8pm on Saturday night. So sorry for the inconvenience! If you really miss us, you can find us on MySpace !!

7/9/07: It's official! The press release has been posted all over the 'net, Universal Republic Records is the "big winner" of the label battle. Tour itineraries and more album info will be forthcoming. As a side note for the drummers in the crowd, recognize that name, "Paul Geary"? MMmyep! One of ABs new managers, nowadays regarded as one of the top management guys out there, was once better known as the drummer for Extreme! That means he gets automatic approval from the FlipOnline crew! HAHHaaHha

7/5/07: According to FMQB, the new Alter Bridge single, "Rise Today," is set to be released to the airwaves between 7/30-7/31 on Universal Republic Records.

7/4/07: Rumors have been swirling for weeeeeks that Alter Bridge is now on Universal Records, which as of right now, can "technically" only be confirmed by the fact that they are added to the URMG site as an "artist". Thanks to Sammers for pointing out that Michael Tremonti posted that an official press release about the label will be made on 7/9/07.

6/28/07: Congratulations to Scott, Brian, Myles & Mark for successfully signing the contract with their new label (one that has a proven track record for some highly successful bands!!). Official press release will follow...this is a *VERY* good thing!!

6/27/07: The time is upon us! As always, a tremendous amount of "thanks" to Mrs. P, who gave us a heads up that Flip's traditional "pre-new album tattoo" is goin' down as I type this~! That says to me that the whirlwind is about to pick up...new album, radio singles...TOUR! Yay! Also noted--the boys will be doing some new publicity shots around mid-July.

6/7/07: I got a quick preview of a couple new AB tunes this week, and I've gotta tell you---I think we're in for some greatttt new stuff. 5/9/07: Now that I've had a moment to chill afer the show, the best "news" I can give you at this point is that Alter Bridge will be putting the finishing touches on the record this coming Thursday...and then sending the tracks out for mixing. The best estimate for the new cd release date is September....and I think its likely that they may do a little touring in the late summer. They've also changed up their management team...its not been confirmed, but I've heard the names of three firms---Front Line Management, PRG (Paul Geary! Yes, Paul Geary from "Extreme"...hah!) and also Global Artist Management. Both Front Line and PRG are pretty major players, so I can only presume this means better things for the AB guys.

5/5/07: Just back from last night's acoustic performance over at Foxwood's, and it was nothing short of amazing. I took several videos throughout the performance, which included TWO NEW SONGS...everything has been posted over on the bulletin board. If you don't already have one, go create a user name and check 'em out!! I promise, you won't be sorry...

4/24/07: Hallelujahhhh....Road Journal #3 is finally here!!! Head on over to the Road Journal to see what's new in the World of Flip~!! PS: Flip has cdonfirmed that the producer of the new cd is Michael "Elvis" Baskette... and lemme tell ya, "Elvis" has got one helluva tight resume' goin' on!!! Good things are comin'~!!!

4/2/07: The Charity show on 5/4 has been confirmed by the AB camp. Make sure to check out the tour page for more information on the show and how to get your tickets.

4/1/07: So I found some info tonight on an upcoming AB show that should be of particular interest to those fans in the New England area, like myself!! Check out the FlipOnline Forum for more info, or head to the tour dates page because I updated that, too! Also, Scott is a confirmed participant for the Hootie Golf "Monday After the Masters" Golf tournament on 4/9/07. We've gotten pictures for the past two years, so hopefully, we'll have new ones coming soon!

3/11/07: New album update from longtime AB fan, James, who ran into the AB guys at the Sevendust show in Nashville...the drum tracks for the new album are done, and Marshall is now laying down the bass tracks. Good times. Thanks to James & Jared for sharing that news!

3/5/07: The boys have wrapped up pre-production in Nashville, and as of today...*drum roll*...Scott began laying down the drum tracks! The new album is riiiiiight around the corner! And I'm sure that the official label announcement isn't too far off, either!

1/1/07: Welcome to the re-release of FlipOnline!!! This new layout has been in the works for a LOOOONG time...and finally its here. There was a long delay, but I didn't want to wait any longer---and I'm releasing the new layout for your enjoyment without some of the new features in place. Take a look around--a lot of the material is the same, but there's some new stuff added, as well. The site now features a NEW message board, and a brand new photo gallery to keep tabs on all of our pictures.

11/25/06: It is with a heavy heart that we tell you that a long time "FlipOnliner" and "Pitter", Kat--Gatalove, passed away on 11/25/06. She was 41 years old. Kat was a dear friend to many of us at FlipOnline, and we would like to express our heartfelt sympathy to her family at this difficult time. Kat shared her passion for life, animals and of course, music with the world...and she will forever live on in our hearts.

9/8/06: Thanks to Mama Flip for sharing some tidbits of information on the upcoming album:

"I talked with Scott and he said that Myles was due back in Orlando sometime early next week, so they'll be back making music soon! They are in talks with a few producers for the new CD and I hope they're going to make that decision fairly soon. He sounded SOOOOO excited about being back in the studio! I think they're all really psyched about recording these great new songs. I asked whether some of *my personal favorites* would be included and he said that they'd wait til they've settled on a producer and then they'd decide together what made the final cut (but I'm not above bribery to lobby for my favorites!).

Label talks are continuing to go well. As soon as there is something *official* to report, they'll release that. All I can say is that Scott is excited about new possibilities.

There's really not much new--but I just wanted to give you an update, since I know it's been ages since you've heard anything."

5/1/06: Thanks to our pal, Mike, for another new set of pictures from the Hootie and the Blowfish "Monday After the Masters" Golf Tournament. Check em out in the photo gallery. Mike definitely went WAY above and beyond for us this year! He's the best!

1/31/06: Well, we've been short on news for quite some time, so you could imagine what a score it was to find out that Scott has a feature article in the February 2006 issue of Rhythm Magazine. I ordered a copy direct from the UK, but Steve from the board was able to get it scanned for us! Check it out here ~!!

10/20/05: FINALLY! Some quality television programming! Be on the lookout for Scott on VH1...he recently participated in the VH1 Fairway to Heaven golf tournament, which is set to air on VH1 during the Top 20 Countdown on 10/28~!

8/25/05: Happy anniversary to Scott & April, as WELL as to FlipOnline. This week marks our THIRD full year in existence...who would have EVER thought it'd go this far?!? I certainly didn't--but its been a great road traveled, thats for sure!
